Patriots Executive Robyn Glaser Announces Resignation Amid Team Transition
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Robyn Glaser, the New England Patriots‘ executive vice president of football business and one of the franchise’s highest-ranking executives, has informed the team of her plans to resign, sources confirmed Friday. Her departure, effective mid-February, comes during a pivotal transition period for the organization under new head coach Mike Vrabel.
Glaser, who joined the Patriots in 2007 as a senior adviser to ownership and club counsel, has been a cornerstone of the franchise’s business and legal operations. Her tenure began amid the NFL’s investigation into the Patriots’ videotaping procedures, known as “Spygate,” which resulted in the team forfeiting its first-round draft pick in 2008. Over the years, she rose through the ranks, becoming vice president in 2011, senior vice president in 2018, and most recently, senior vice president of business affairs and chief administrative officer of football in 2022.
Throughout her 18-year career with the Patriots, Glaser oversaw league business and legal relations, including compliance, and managed the football department’s budgets, expenditures, and technology agreements. In 2024, she took on an advisory role for former coach Jerod Mayo, further solidifying her influence within the organization.
In a March 2024 interview during Women’s History Month, Glaser reflected on her career, stating, “What keeps me inspired is the variety of work that I do. I’m very honored to work for the [Kraft] family and organization, take a lot of pride in that, and take that very seriously.” Her contributions extended beyond the front office, as she supported players like former safety Devin McCourty and defensive lineman Lawrence Guy in launching off-field initiatives, including charitable foundations and social-justice causes.
Glaser’s resignation marks a significant shift for the Patriots, who are navigating back-to-back 4-13 seasons and preparing for their third head coach in three years—a rarity in franchise history. Her departure also signals broader changes at the executive level as the team seeks to rebuild its competitive edge.
Before joining the Patriots, Glaser served as a global senior vice president at EMI Recorded Music, bringing a wealth of experience in business and legal affairs to the NFL. Her exit leaves a notable void in the organization as it embarks on a new chapter under Vrabel’s leadership.
