Nba Pelicans Vs Grizzlies Game Action

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The New Orleans Pelicans (12-32) will take on the Memphis Grizzlies (29-15) in a highly anticipated NBA matchup Friday night at FedExForum. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, with the game broadcast on NBA TV.

The Pelicans are coming off a postponed game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a winter storm in New Orleans. They recently secured back-to-back home victories over the Utah Jazz, with the Over hitting in both games. However, they will be without forward Zion Williamson, who is sidelined due to illness.

The Grizzlies, riding a four-game winning streak, defeated the Charlotte Hornets 132-120 on Wednesday. Guard Desmond Bane led the team with 24 points, while Luke Kennard added 23, including a season-high seven 3-pointers. Memphis has already won both meetings against New Orleans this season, including a 132-124 victory on Dec. 27.

According to betting lines updated at 11:40 a.m. ET, the Grizzlies are favored by 11.5 points, with the Over/Under set at 243.5. The Pelicans have covered the spread in five of their last six games, making them a potential value bet despite their underdog status.

“The Grizzlies have been dominant, but the Pelicans are trending upward,” said Corey Scott, a sports betting analyst. “New Orleans has covered in seven of their last 10 games, and this could be a let-down spot for Memphis.”

For the Over to hit, the Pelicans will likely need to score 117 or more points, a feat they have achieved in six straight games. However, the total has already moved significantly, making it a less favorable long-term bet.

Fans can catch the game live on NBA TV or follow live updates on sports betting platforms for real-time odds and analysis.
