Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Penguins are set to face the New Jersey Devils today at the Prudential Center. The game is scheduled to start at 12:30 PM and will be broadcast live on SportsNet Pittsburgh. Fans can listen to the action on 105.9 The X and through the Penguins app.

The Penguins currently boast a record of 9-4-2 while the Devils sit at 6-5-1. Pittsburgh has fared well against New Jersey, earning points in 14 of their last 22 matchups since March 20, 2021, with a record of 11-8-3. Furthermore, the Penguins have also secured points in eight of their last 11 road games against the Devils, going 7-3-1.

Fans have much to look forward to, particularly with Bryan Rust, who has accumulated 33 points (18 goals and 15 assists) in 40 career games against New Jersey. Rust has been a consistent performer, recording points in five of his last eight games against them. Meanwhile, the Penguins lead the NHL in power-play percentage at 35.9%, with Sidney Crosby soloing to the top with six power-play goals.

Crosby is also riding a three-game point streak and leading the NHL with 11 goals this season. The Penguins’ penalty kill has been impressive, allowing just one power-play goal in their last seven games.

Joining the lineup is rookie goaltender Sergei Murashov, who is poised to make his NHL debut. Murashov has had a strong showing with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, achieving a 5-2-0 record in seven games this season.

Additionally, Erik Karlsson could reach a milestone, as he aims to appear in his 1,100th NHL game. He currently ranks among the top 10 defensemen for career points in NHL history.

Evgeni Malkin also comes into the match with a four-game point streak, posting 20 points (3 goals and 17 assists) this season, tying for fourth in the NHL. At the same time, rookie forward Ben Kindel is making headlines, recently notching two assists and leading the team’s rookies in points.

Pittsburgh’s strong lineup and successful history against the Devils set the stage for an exciting game later today.
