Penn State Announces 2025 White Out Game Against Oregon

University Park, PA — Penn State football will host the 2025 White Out game against defending Big Ten champion Oregon at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 at Beaver Stadium. The game, which will air on NBC, marks an exciting rematch of last year’s Big Ten championship.
The announcement was made on Thursday, highlighting Oregon as the marquee opponent for this highly anticipated annual event. Penn State’s athletic department expressed satisfaction in securing a prime-time slot for the matchup, which is expected to draw significant attention.
In addition to the White Out game, the Big Ten released kickoff times for several other Penn State non-conference games. The Nittany Lions will open their season against Nevada at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 30, followed by a noon kickoff against FIU on Sept. 6 and a 3:30 p.m. start against Villanova on Sept. 13, with these games televised on CBS, Big Ten Network, and FS1, respectively.
Another key date is Penn State’s home game against Northwestern on Oct. 11, which has been tentatively scheduled for noon, 3:30 p.m. or 4 p.m., with the specific network yet to be announced.
Last year, the Nittany Lions faced challenges in selecting a prime-time opponent for the White Out after previous games were altered by television scheduling. Adam Miller, Penn State’s Deputy Athletic Director, emphasized the cultural significance of the White Out experience, calling it a ‘bucket-list event’ for fans.
The upcoming game against Oregon not only serves as a Big Ten opener for Pennsylvania but also as Oregon’s first visit since 1964. This historic matchup, alongside the Nittany Lions’ other opponents this season, is integral to the football calendar.
The Penn State White Out game has grown into a celebrated event, described as an experience rather than just a game. With a strong fan presence, the Nittany Lions aim to keep the tradition’s magic alive.
