Notably, forward Elias Pettersson has been cleared to play after being labeled a game-time decision due to an undisclosed injury he sustained during the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.

Pettersson, who recorded zero points in three games with Team Sweden, is returning to the Canucks lineup, where he has contributed 11 goals and 34 points in 49 games this season. “We’re excited to have him back on the ice; he brings a lot to our team,” Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet stated during Friday’s media availability.

The Canucks held an optional morning skate prior to the game, and Pettersson’s presence provides a significant boost for a team looking to improve in the standings. However, defenseman Quinn Hughes continues to sit out, missing his fifth consecutive game due to an upper-body injury.
