CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (AP) — The 2025 PGA Championship is set to begin this Thursday, running from May 15 to May 18, at the Quail Hollow Club. This prestigious golf event will feature 156 players competing for 750 FedEx Cup points and a purse yet to be determined.

The PGA Championship returns to Quail Hollow, which previously hosted the tournament in 2017. Defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who also won the Masters in 2025, stands out among the favorites this year. He will be joined by top players such as Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Thomas.

Fans can watch the tournament on ESPN and CBS, with extensive coverage planned across both networks. ESPN will broadcast the first and second rounds, while CBS will take over for the final two rounds over the weekend. Streaming options are also available through ESPN+ and Paramount+.

The full schedule includes first-round coverage starting at 7 a.m. on ESPN+ on Thursday, continuing until noon. The second round follows a similar pattern on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, coverage will begin earlier in the mornings, showcasing the major moments of the tournament.

In addition to the live broadcasts, ESPN+ will offer features such as featured groups and holes, providing fans with deeper insights into the competitors’ performances.

The tournament is not only a highlight on the PGA Tour but also celebrates the sport and its stars, promising a thrilling weekend filled with golf action.
