PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania – The U.S. Open Cup continues this week with the Round of 32, featuring a match between Major League Soccer’s New York City FC (NYCFC) and United Soccer League’s Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. The game is set for Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 7 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium.

This historic tournament has seen MLS teams dominate since its inception, with an MLS squad lifting the trophy every year since 2000. The Riverhounds have reached this stage after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Columbus Crew 2, a team from MLS Next Pro, on April 15.
