Colwyn Bay, Wales — A police officer is facing serious misconduct charges after an incident at a leaving party where she allegedly groped colleagues. PC Pamela Pritchard, 29, appeared at a tribunal to discuss her behavior during the event held at Caernarfon Rugby Club on March 29, 2024.

Pritchard expressed her regret, stating, “I’m absolutely mortified at what’s happened — I don’t recognize the person I see on that CCTV.” She admitted to her inappropriate actions but denied that they constituted gross misconduct.

During the hearing, Pritchard described her memory of the evening as foggy, claiming, “My behavior that evening was inappropriate. I’ve never acted like that before.” She acknowledged experiencing panic attacks and nightmares as a result of the accusations, expressing feeling like a “sexual predator.”

Multiple colleagues testified against Pritchard. One officer, identified as Police Constable B, claimed that Pritchard groped him below the belt, both inside and outside the club. He described feeling humiliated by the incidents and recounted her trying to kiss him while sitting on his knee.

In response, Pritchard maintained that none of her interactions were intended to be sexual and suggested that the contact was accidental. “I was just dancing with her,” she stated regarding another female colleague whom she allegedly groped.

Further allegations reveal that Pritchard also attempted to kiss an inspector during the party. Her behavior drew significant concern from fellow officers, as CCTV footage displayed her engaging in suggestive dance moves and inappropriate physical contact.

Pritchard’s barrister contested the claims, suggesting that her actions were misinterpreted and that PC B had teased her throughout the night. Pritchard remains suspended from her duties and the hearing is expected to continue over the coming days.
