Pop-Tarts Launches Ice Cream Sandwiches and Pints in Summer 2025

CHICAGO, IL – Kellanova, the parent company of Pop-Tarts, announced on May 8 that it will launch a new line of ice cream sandwiches and pints, bringing a unique blend of breakfast and dessert to the freezer aisle.

The Pop-Tarts lineup will include ice cream pints that combine “indulgent ice cream with flavor swirls and pastry-style pieces,” and ice cream sandwiches that feature creamy flavors between “flavor-filled pastry-style ends.”

Ice cream sandwiches will be available in three flavors: Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Frosted Strawberry, and Frosted Chocolate Fudge. The pints will come in Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Frosted Strawberry, and Frosted S’mores. These new products aim to offer a nostalgic taste experience for summer.

Kellanova has yet to reveal an exact launch date, but the ice cream sandwiches will debut at Walmart in May 2025. The pints are expected to hit select retailers later in the summer.

Frances Alvarez, the Senior Vice President of brand management at Beanstalk, Kellanova’s licensing agency, expressed excitement about the launch: “Pop-Tarts is a brand built on delicious flavors and playful spirit – and this frozen debut captures that energy perfectly.”

Earlier this year, Kellanova introduced Eggo and Rice Krispies Treats ice cream offerings, indicating an expanding interest in frozen treats.
