Port Cartier Minor Baseball Fundraises With Friendly Ball Games

In an effort to raise funds for the Port-Cartier Minor Baseball organization, a unique initiative has been launched involving a change in the size of the baseball used during games. The community is invited to participate in friendly games of ‘ball-donnée’.

These mixed-gender casual games take place on Sundays from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Centre Cartier field. A fee of $5 per person per game is applicable. The activity is open to individuals aged 13 and above, regardless of their prior experience with the sport.

All proceeds generated from these games will contribute to supporting the Port-Cartier Minor Baseball organization and its affiliated teams, namely the Pirates.

Recently, the association received a generous donation of $1,000 from the railway transport employees at Arcelor. The funds were raised through an internal fundraising event where a unique logo was created, enabling the sale of shirts, hats, beanies, socks, and magnets over the past year.
