Portland Winterhawks Vs Everett Silvertips Hockey Game

Everett, Wash. – For the second consecutive season, the Portland Winterhawks are advancing to the Western Conference Championship. The underdog Winterhawks stunned the regular season champion Everett Silvertips with a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory in Game 7 of their playoff series on Tuesday night.

Captain Kyle Chyzowski tied the game late in the second period, and goals from Hudson Darby and Kyle McDonough just 30 seconds apart in the final frame secured the series victory. Diego Buttazzoni capped the night with an empty netter, marking his ninth goal of the postseason.

The star of the night was rookie goaltender Ondrej Stebetak, who made 40 saves to lead the Winterhawks. Throughout the series, Stebetak averaged over 35 saves per game, highlighted by an impressive 43-save overtime win in Game 4.

Chyzowski led his team with seven goals and four assists, totaling 11 points over seven games. His remarkable performance included scoring a hat trick in Game 4.

The Winterhawks will now face the winner of the Spokane Chiefs and Victoria Royals series in the next round.
