Nfl Draft Trade Rumors 2025

Indianapolis, IN — As the 2025 NFL draft concludes, teams are gearing up for a significant wave of trades. Multiple factors contribute to this increased activity, including teams having surplus talent in certain positions due to their new draft picks.

With rookie minicamps and organized team activities (OTAs) set to kick off soon, veterans may find themselves on the lower rungs of depth charts, prompting teams to consider trades. June 1 marks a key deadline as contracts traded after this date allow teams to spread dead-money cap hits over two years, a compelling motivator for possible trades.

“We’re already seeing chatter about several players who could be on the move,” said an unnamed NFL general manager. “With so many new hopefuls joining rosters, it makes sense that some veterans might be looking for new homes.”

Bleacher Report recently released an updated post-draft trade big board, highlighting players expected to be in demand due to their talent, contract status, and positional value. Among the ranked players are D’Andre Swift, a running back for the Chicago Bears, and quarterback Jameis Winston of the New York Giants.

The Cleveland Browns, for instance, have a crowded quarterback room after signing Joe Flacco and drafting several quarterbacks, including Kenny Pickett. If rookie quarterbacks like Pickett or his fellow draftees show promise during OTAs, Flacco may become expendable, according to sources within the organization.

“Flacco played a key role in our playoff run two years ago, but keeping four quarterbacks isn’t feasible,” commented a Browns official. “We’ll see how it plays out in the coming weeks.”

Other teams are also eyeing potential deals. The Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers have emerged as potential suitors for a veteran quarterback like Flacco, depending on their internal performances during training camps.

The Los Angeles Chargers, with head coach Jim Harbaugh focusing on a strong ground game, may consider trading running back Najee Harris after drafting his successor, signaling possible changes ahead for multiple team rosters.

As teams begin their offseason activities, the NFL landscape appears ready for an exciting period of trade negotiations, with June 1 serving as a pivotal date for potential moves.
