Powerball Jackpot Rises to $258 Million Ahead of October 13 Drawing

Trenton, New Jersey – The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $258 million ahead of the drawing on Monday, October 13, 2025. The cash option for this jackpot is $120.8 million, which players can choose if they win.
The jackpot prize last rolled over on October 11, when no one matched all five white balls and the Powerball in that drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing were 13, 16, 18, 20, 27, and the Powerball was 10. The Power Play multiplier was set at 2x.
Powerball drawings are conducted three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Players must purchase their tickets before the deadline, which is 9:59 p.m. in New Jersey and 10 p.m. in New York on drawing days.
To play, participants select five numbers from a pool of 1 to 69 for the white balls and one number from 1 to 26 for the Powerball. A single ticket costs $2, with an optional Power Play feature that costs an additional $1. This feature can multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.
Powerball is available in 45 states plus Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets can be purchased at gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores, and some states allow online purchases.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, while the odds of matching all five white balls are about 1 in 11.7 million. According to lottery officials, winnings can range from as little as $4 to the grand jackpot.
Lottery players are reminded that while the potential for big winnings can be enticing, they should always play responsibly. If a player wins, they must decide between an annuity option, which pays out over time, or the one-time cash option.
As anticipation builds for the drawing, all eyes will be on the number combinations revealed after 11 p.m. ET on Monday night.
