Predictions for MLB Home Runs on April 23

Baltimore, MD — Fans looking to place bets on Major League Baseball home runs this Wednesday have a couple of promising players to consider. Both Oneil Cruz of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Gunnar Henderson of the Baltimore Orioles are in favorable matchups that could lead to home runs.
Cruz faces off against the Los Angeles Angels and rookie pitcher Jack Kochanowicz, who currently has a high ERA of 6.20. In four starts this season, Kochanowicz has allowed four homers. This season, the Angels’ bullpen is struggling as well, with a 5.45 ERA and having surrendered 12 homers. Cruz has been on a roll, hitting .275 with a .608 slugging percentage, including five home runs, all against right-handed pitching.
Meanwhile, Henderson’s season hasn’t been smooth sailing. He has a batting average of just .213 and two home runs so far. However, he has a chance to turn things around against Trevor Williams of the Washington Nationals, who allowed a league-high 34 homers last season. This year, Williams holds a 5.95 ERA and has given up a home run in each of his last three starts.
Henderson’s performance against right-handed pitchers has shown promise. He boasts a .308 batting average against righties, which is significantly better than his .046 average against left-handed pitchers. He will also be up against a Nationals bullpen that has allowed nine homers this season and has the worst ERA in MLB at 7.09.
As the odds continue to evolve, it remains to be seen if these young sluggers can capitalize on their matchups on April 23. Betting on home runs can be unpredictable and adds an element of excitement with each at-bat. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help is available through 1-800-GAMBLER.
