Premier League 2024 25 Standings

The 2024/25 Premier League season is underway, and after Matchweek 6, Liverpool has taken the lead in the standings. Liverpool surpassed the defending champions, Manchester City, after securing another victory on Saturday.

Manchester City finds itself in second place following a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United. This result contributed to City losing the top spot to Liverpool, despite their strong start to the season.

Currently, the standings show Liverpool at the top with 15 points from six games. The team has amassed five wins, no draws, and one defeat, scoring 12 goals and conceding just two, resulting in a goal difference of ten.

In contrast, Manchester City has secured four wins and two draws, accumulating 14 points. They have scored 14 goals and conceded six, achieving a goal difference of eight. Arsenal mirrors City’s record but stands third due to their goal difference, having scored 12 and conceded five goals.

In fourth position, Chelsea follows closely with 13 points, resulting from four wins, one draw, and a single defeat. Aston Villa, with a game in hand, is in fifth place, boasting four victories and one loss, totaling 12 points.

On the individual front, Erling Haaland of Manchester City continues to dominate the race for the Premier League Golden Boot. Despite remaining goalless in his last two fixtures, the Norwegian striker has already netted 10 goals in six appearances.

Liverpool’s Luis Diaz follows Haaland on the scoreboard, with five goals in five matches. Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán, along with Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, are not far behind with five and four goals, respectively.

The season’s dynamics are likely to evolve as teams and individual players work towards their objectives, promising an exciting competition ahead.
