President Bola Tinubu has made significant changes in the leadership of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) with the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the new Managing Director and Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as the Board Chairman.

Dantsoho, who holds a Doctorate in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University and a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

His previous positions within the NPA include Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager at Onne Port, and Principal Manager for Tariff and Billing.

Senator Adeyeye, a seasoned lawyer, journalist, and former Minister of State for Works, will lead the NPA’s board with his extensive background in law and politics.

President Tinubu’s expectations for the new leadership are clear – to deliver excellence in their duties for the benefit of efficient port services and improved industry outcomes.
