PSG Focused on French Cup Final Despite Champions League Ahead

Saint-Denis, France (May 23, 2025) — Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager Luis Enrique assured fans and media on Friday that his team remains focused on the upcoming Coupe de France final against Stade de Reims, despite the looming Champions League final next week.
PSG has already secured the Ligue 1 title and the French Super Cup this season. They will face Reims on Saturday before competing against Inter Milan for their first Champions League crown on May 31. “It’s not difficult to concentrate on tomorrow’s game. None of the players will be distracted,” Enrique told reporters.
Enrique emphasized the importance of the Coupe de France final, stating, “We want to make history from day one… We’re here now and we need to put the icing on the cake.” PSG is aiming for their 16th French Cup title, entering the match as heavy favorites against Reims, who are currently battling relegation.
PSG’s coach praised his team’s improved performance throughout the season, describing them as fresher heading into crucial matches. “I think we’ve managed to improve many aspects of our game this season, including our efficiency,” he said.
On the other hand, Stade de Reims coach Samba Diawara acknowledged the challenges ahead but encouraged his players to embrace the moment. “Anything is possible. It’s still a football match against some of the best in Europe,” Diawara said. He urged his team to enjoy the experience and leave no regrets on the pitch.
The match between PSG and Reims is set to kick off at 3:00 PM local time on May 24 at the Stade de France. With significant stakes in both finals, both teams are preparing thoroughly for their respective challenges.
