Puebla vs Atlético San Luis Match Exclusively Aired on FOX Sports
PUEBLA, Mexico — The highly anticipated Clausura 2025 match between Puebla and Atlético San Luis, scheduled for Friday at Estadio Cuauhtémoc, will be broadcast exclusively on FOX Sports, contrary to earlier announcements. The game was initially expected to air on Azteca 7 and Disney+, but last-minute changes have redirected the broadcast rights.
Carlos Ponce de León, a prominent sports journalist, confirmed the shift in broadcasting plans. “There was much confusion about where the Puebla vs San Luis match would air. Although it was announced on Azteca 7 and Disney+ (as reflected on the Liga MX website), today’s game is exclusive to FOX Sports,” Ponce de León stated on social media.
The match is part of the second round of the Clausura 2025 tournament and is one of nine games scheduled for the weekend. Cable providers Total Play and IzzI have already updated their schedules to reflect the change, ensuring fans can tune in to FOX Sports for the live coverage.
Meanwhile, Azteca 7 will focus on broadcasting the simultaneous match between Tigres and Mazatlán, followed by a doubleheader featuring Necaxa vs Chivas. Another previously uncertain broadcast, the Juárez vs Cruz Azul match, has also been confirmed for Azteca 7.
This shift marks a return to traditional broadcasting patterns for Azteca 7, which will air matches on both Friday and Saturday, featuring top-tier commentators and analysts. Fans of Puebla and Atlético San Luis, however, will need to adjust their viewing plans to catch the game on FOX Sports.
