Pumas Vs Necaxa Clausura 2025 Match

Pumas and Necaxa faced off in their opening match of the Clausura 2025 season at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City on January 12, 2025. The game, which began at 12:00 PM local time, marked the debut of Pumas’ new goalkeeper, Alex Padilla, under the watchful eyes of thousands of fans and a robust security operation.

The match was not just a sporting event but also a showcase of enhanced security measures by the Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC). A total of 1,468 officers were deployed as part of the ‘Safe Stadium’ initiative to ensure the safety of all attendees. The operation included 828 police officers, 45 official vehicles, three motorcycles, one bus, two tow trucks, and an ambulance from the Rescue and Emergency Medical Squad (ERUM). Additionally, a helicopter from the Condors Air Services Executive Directorate conducted surveillance flights over the area.

Further bolstering the security, 1,640 auxiliary police officers were stationed around the stadium, supported by 16 units, to monitor entrances, exits, aisles, and seating areas. The SSC also implemented measures to combat ticket scalping and manage traffic flow, with road closures and alternative routes provided to facilitate smooth movement for both pedestrians and motorists.

The SSC urged fans to adhere to safety guidelines, keep personal belongings secure, and supervise minors closely. They also encouraged attendees to seek assistance from nearby officers if needed, ensuring a trouble-free experience of the match.

For real-time updates and assistance, the SSC made their social media accounts available to the public, emphasizing their commitment to a secure and enjoyable event for everyone involved.
