Queen Bee Half Marathon: Street Closures and Event Details for Cincinnati Runners
The Queen Bee Half Marathon, championed by MedPace, is set to take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event, which starts at 7:30 AM at the intersection of Reading Road and Pendleton Street, will feature a 13.1-mile (21.10 km) half-marathon and a 4-mile (6.44 km) run starting at 8:00 AM from the same location.
To accommodate the runners, several streets in the area will be closed. McMillan Street will be closed between Victory Parkway and Grandview Avenue, and other streets will have closures starting as early as 4:00 AM and lasting until 1:00 PM. Some streets will close at 7:00 AM and reopen once the runners have passed through the area.
The event includes an expo held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center on Friday, October 11, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and again from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. On the day of the race, a post-race party will be held at Sawyer Point Park from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Participants in the Queen Bee Half Marathon will receive a long-sleeve technical ASICS shirt, a finisher medal, a premium bag, and other goodies. Finisher’s certificates will be available for download after the race. Awards will be given to the top three overall women and to the top three finishers in various age groups.
