EP Queens Secure First Win in SA Rugby Women’s Premier Division

The EP Queens clinched their first victory in the SA Rugby Women’s Premier Division season, triumphing over Free State Women in a hard-fought match at Gqeberha. Despite being at the bottom of the log, the EP Queens displayed determination and resilience to secure a 15-10 win, with veteran flyhalf Zaza Nojoko shining by kicking five penalty goals.
In another fixture, the Sanlam Boland Dames showcased their dominance by scoring four second-half tries against Border Ladies, resulting in a 25-3 victory in Mthatha. The DHL Western Province also put up a stellar performance, defeating the Golden Lions Women 36-15 in Alberton, with Camelitha Malone standing out with two tries.
Over in the Women’s First Division, the SWD Eagirls continued their unbeaten streak with a resounding 84-0 win over Griffons Women in Welkom. The Valke Women suffered a narrow 27-24 defeat to Griquas Women in Kimberley, while the Pumas Women secured a tight 25-24 victory over Limpopo Blue Bulls Women in Bethal.
