Quinn Ewers’ Girlfriend Shows Support for Oklahoma Ahead of Big Rivalry Game

Dallas, Texas – Ahead of the highly anticipated Texas vs. Oklahoma football game, Madelyne Barnes, the girlfriend of Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers, made her loyalties known through social media. Barnes, a student at the University of Oklahoma, shared glimpses of her game day preparations on Instagram.
Posting on Saturday, Barnes appeared with friends in Oklahoma attire, captioning one photo, “OU TX BOOMER SOONER.” She sported a shirt patterned in the school colors of red, white, and black, along with two notable pins: one supporting her sorority with the phrase, “ΧΩ Says BEAT TEXAS,” and another featuring a humorous image of Ewers wearing an Oklahoma hat with the message, “I MISS QUINN EWERS TOO.”
Quinn Ewers, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, is currently in a developmental role with the team. Although he hasn’t yet seen game action this season, Ewers has the potential to earn playing time if injury or poor performance occurs among the Dolphins’ starting quarterbacks.
The Texas Longhorns, ranked No. 1 at the start of the season, have faced challenges, currently holding a 3-2 record after a recent loss to Florida. The rivalry game, marking its 121st edition, is critical for both teams, with No. 6 Oklahoma in solid form and aiming to extend their winning streak against Texas.
With Oklahoma favored in this matchup, the stakes are particularly high as they look to make a statement against Texas ahead of their transition into the SEC.
