Quinn Prepares for Tough Match Against Griekspoor at Roland-Garros

PARIS, France — American tennis player Quinn is gearing up for a challenging match against Tallon Griekspoor in the third round of Roland-Garros 2025. The 21-year-old has been making waves in the tournament, showcasing a mental shift that has contributed to his recent success.
Quinn, currently ranked No. 106 in the world, recently discussed his journey during a press conference. He reflected on his past struggles, mentioning a difficult season where he faced significant challenges. “Last year, I struggled to win matches, and my confidence was low,” he said. “But with the help of my coach, Brian Garber, I learned to compete at all levels, even when I’m not playing my best tennis.”
During his European clay campaign, Quinn put his new mentality into practice, qualifying for both the Barcelona and Madrid Masters. “We’ve worked a lot on my movement, and I feel much more comfortable on clay this year,” he added. The Californian’s improved approach allowed him to reach this stage in Roland-Garros, where he defeated Alexander Shevchenko in a grueling match that lasted over four hours.
“Qualifying into a Slam for the first time is an exhilarating experience. I want to make the most of this opportunity,” Quinn said. He credits his supportive team, which includes renowned coach Brad Stine and a group of fellow players, for his growth. “Having a team around me feels similar to college tennis, and it’s been really motivating.”
Looking ahead to his match against Griekspoor, Quinn expressed both excitement and respect for his opponent. “He’s an unbelievable competitor, and I know this match will be tough. I’m really looking forward to it,” he stated.
As Quinn continues to rise in the tennis world, he remains focused on his performance, hoping to achieve even more in this prestigious tournament.
