Las Vegas Raiders Cornerbacks 2025

Paradise, Nevada – The Las Vegas Raiders‘ defense is gearing up for the 2025 NFL season with ambitions of becoming a top unit. After a successful previous season, the Raiders revamped their defensive roster during the offseason, focusing particularly on the cornerback position.

Head coach Pete Carroll is confident in the new cornerbacks, which include Darnay Holmes, Darien Porter, and Eric Stokes. Holmes is the only returning starter from last season while both Porter, a rookie, and Stokes, a former first-round pick, are expected to have significant roles. Carroll emphasizes the need for size in his cornerbacks, a quality he believes this new group possesses.

“I think we have really good size in the cornerback room this year,” Carroll said. “Stokes is playing like a rockstar, and Porter has shown he can compete at a high level.”

Analyst Hondo Carpenter stated during a recent podcast that the competition among cornerbacks is fierce, especially highlighting rookie Greedy Vance and veteran Sam Webb. “Webb’s job is in jeopardy, but I think he can do it,” Carpenter assessed.

The Raiders are preparing for their final preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals, where Adams’ performance, along with other players, will be crucial in finalizing the linebacker depth chart.

As the Raiders continue their preseason preparations, their revamped defense shows promise, reflecting the changes aimed at improving both the defensive and offensive setups for the upcoming season.
