NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — The Las Vegas Raiders have selected Jack Bech, a talented wide receiver from TCU, with the 58th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. This announcement comes after the team traded back from the 48th pick to secure Bech, who has made notable strides in college football.

Bech, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 207 pounds, had an impressive career, particularly in his final season at TCU. He recorded 62 receptions, totaling 1,034 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2024. Before that, he led the LSU Tigers in receptions as a freshman, catching 43 passes. He also excelled on special teams, averaging 17 yards per punt return.

“He’s a competitive target who stands out in several important ways,” said NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein. “Bech can be physical at the top of the route and has a strong feel for securing catches under pressure.”

Bech’s athletic ability is matched by a family legacy of sportsmanship. His grandfather, Malcholm, was a record-setting track athlete at Southeastern Louisiana. His uncles Brett and Blaine both played for LSU, while his aunt Brenna was part of the inaugural women’s soccer team at the university.

In February, Bech was honored as the Senior Bowl MVP after making a game-winning touchdown catch for the American Team. “It’s been surreal to be a part of this game,” he reflected. “But if I could swap this moment to give my brother a hug, I would do it in a heartbeat.”

Prior to this achievement, Bech faced a personal tragedy. His brother, Tiger, tragically lost his life in a shooting on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on New Year’s Day, prompting a wave of mourning. In honor of his brother, each Senior Bowl participant wore the number 7, Tiger’s jersey number. “My brother has wings on me, and I attribute my success to him,” Bech shared, emphasizing the impact of his loss on his career aspirations.

As Bech transitions to the NFL, he is set to join the Raiders’ training camp. His versatility as both a receiver and a special teams player will be vital as he works to secure his spot on the active roster. Coaches will be closely monitoring how well he fits into the Raiders’ offensive scheme.

In the wake of a heartbreaking loss, Bech’s journey reflects resilience and determination. He is set to make a significant impact on the Raiders as he carries his brother’s legacy onto the field.
