Lg Twins Vs Samsung Lions Baseball

The much-anticipated fourth game of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) postseason between Samsung Lions and LG Twins was postponed due to persistent rain. According to a report by Yonhap, the clash, originally scheduled for Friday, was rescheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. The Lions currently lead the series 2-1.

On Thursday, LG Twins managed a narrow 1-0 victory, cutting the Lions’ lead after they won the first two games in Daegu. The series winner will advance to the Korean Series, facing the Kia Tigers, who hold the top seed.

LG Twins manager Youm Kyung-youb expressed relief, noting that the postponement allowed additional rest for Venezuelan pitcher Elieser Hernandez, who contributed significantly to Thursday’s win by finishing with 3 2/3 frames after starter Im Chan-kyu pitched 5 1/3 innings.

This marks the second rain delay in the series, with a previous postponement in Game 2 at Daegu shifting from Monday to Tuesday. During that game, Samsung pitcher Won Tae-in led his team to a commanding 10-5 victory, while LG’s Son Ju-young struggled, giving up four runs in 4 1/3 innings.

For Saturday’s game, Samsung plans to start Denyi Reyes, who last pitched in the team’s series-opening win against LG. Meanwhile, LG will rely on left-hander Dietrich Enns, making his first appearance in the series since facing the KT Wiz in the previous round.

If Samsung triumphs on Saturday, the Korean Series will commence on Monday in Gwangju. However, a victory for LG would force a decisive Game 5 on Monday, pushing the series’ start to Wednesday.
