Ramon Dino Mr. Olympia 2025

Las Vegas, USA – Ramon Dino made history on Saturday, October 11, by winning the Classic Physique title at the Mr. Olympia 2025 competition held in Las Vegas. Dino, widely known as the “Dinossauro Acreano,” is the first Brazilian man to win this prestigious competition, often regarded as the World Cup of bodybuilding, securing a $100,000 prize (approximately R$ 552,000).

In the final event, Mike Sommerfeld placed second and was followed by Terrence Ruffin in third, Josema Muñoz in fourth, and Niall Darwen in fifth. Dino’s victory marks a significant milestone for Brazilian bodybuilding as he breaks the dominance previously held by women’s competitors, who have amassed 14 Olympic gold medals prior to this year.

Dino impressed the judges in the preliminary round held earlier that day, finishing in first place during the call-out with Sommerfeld and Ruffin. This set an optimistic tone for the finals, which confirmed the top three placements.

The triumph at the Mr. Olympia 2025 is unprecedented for male Brazilian bodybuilders, although Brazilian women have excelled in the event, recently winning three gold medals in categories including Women’s Physique and Wellness.

At 30 years old, Ramon Dino is from Rio Branco, Acre and began his bodybuilding journey in 2016. After earning his professional card in 2018, he began competing in major events in 2021, where he finished fifth in his Olympia debut. He consistently placed in the top five in subsequent years, with a second-place finish in 2022 and 2023, and a fourth-place finish in 2024.

Dino, who is trained by renowned coach Fabrício Pacholok and has had a steady presence in the sport, is married to fellow bodybuilder Vitória Viana and has two children. He expressed gratitude for his victory, stating, “Many times I finished second, and I just want to thank everyone because I dreamed of this moment.”

The Mr. Olympia competition took place from October 9 to 12 and featured 31 men and 28 women. With several categories contested, the event also included activities like the Olympia World Fitness Expo and the Hall of Fame of bodybuilding.

This year’s title for Classic Physique, despite being highly coveted, offers a smaller cash prize compared to the Open Bodybuilding category, which awards $600,000 to its winner. Nevertheless, Dino’s win showcases a historic achievement in Brazilian sports.
