Tyler Higbee Rams Practice 2025

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee returned to full participation in Friday’s practice after being hospitalized earlier in the week with a chest injury. Higbee, who was transported to an Arizona hospital during Monday night’s game against the Cardinals after spitting up blood, has no injury designation for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Head coach Sean McVay confirmed Tuesday that Higbee traveled back to Los Angeles with the team after being released from the hospital. McVay said Higbee was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure but expressed optimism about his availability for the upcoming game. “His expectation is that he’ll be ready to go,” McVay said.

Higbee, who missed most of the season recovering from a torn ACL and MCL sustained during the 2023 NFC playoffs, had five receptions for 58 yards before exiting Monday’s game. His performance marked a season-high in catches, all of which came in the first quarter. McVay praised Higbee’s impact, saying, “You felt his presence early. He was on pace to have a really big night.”

Meanwhile, the Rams ruled out defensive end Larrell Murchison (foot) and inside linebacker Troy Reeder (hamstring) for Sunday’s game. Both players recently returned from injured reserve but were unable to fully recover in time. Left tackle Alaric Jackson (chest), offensive lineman Justin Dedich (illness), cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (thigh), and defensive tackle Bobby Brown (shoulder) are listed as questionable. Witherspoon participated in limited practice Friday, while Brown and Jackson missed the entire week.

Dedich was added to the injury report Friday as a non-participant due to illness. The Rams will need to rely on their depth as they prepare for a critical matchup against the Eagles, who are vying for playoff positioning.
