RANGERS Under-17s are gearing up for their inaugural participation in the esteemed Puskas Suzuki Cup set to take place in Hungary. Led by head coach Steven Smith, the young Gers have been placed in Group A alongside powerhouse teams such as Real Madrid, Genk, and hosts Puskas Academy. On the opposite side, Group B will feature Juventus, Sporting CP, Panathinaikos, and Budapest Honved-MFA. The tournament, named after legendary Hungarian footballer Ferenc Puskas, has seen the likes of Alvaro Morata and Dani Carvajal showcase their talents over the years and has a rich history of hosting Europe’s top young talents since its inception in 2008.

The competition format includes two 30-minute halves per match, with final standings determined by head-to-head matches between teams. The bronze medal match and final are set to take place at the Pancho Arena, a stadium with almost 4,000 seats that recently hosted Israel’s European Championship qualifying matches for 2024. Smith expressed his excitement for the challenge ahead, emphasizing the opportunity for his team to compete against elite European clubs and the honor of playing in a tournament named after the great Ferenc Puskas.

Streaming information for the tournament is available on the official website, and fans can follow the Rangers‘ progress on Twitter to stay updated on their performances and results in Hungary.
