Rashmika Mandanna Faces Trolling for Bold Performance in ‘Yaanimal’ Movie
Rashmika Mandanna, the current talk of the town in the Indian film industry, has been charming audiences with her back-to-back hits. Her performance in the movie ‘Pushpa‘ garnered her a massive fan following across the nation. Following that, she has been receiving offers in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema.
Recently, she appeared in another blockbuster hit ‘Yaanimal’ under the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. This movie, which features Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor as the male lead, along with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika, and Tripti Dimri, has grossed over 900 crores worldwide.
However, post the release of this movie, some critiques ruthlessly criticized Rashmika for her bold performance on screen. In particular, her role in the Karva Chauth scene was brought under scrutiny for not delivering the dialogues convincingly. Some reviewers mentioned that she struggled with the emotional aspects required in that scene, which led to mixed reviews post the movie’s release.
During a recent interview with Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia, Rashmika expressed her feelings about facing trolls for her work. She mentioned, ‘I cannot tolerate individuals who troll women based on their body shapes. Some are targeting me for my movies and my acting. I provided eight months of hard work, but for a scene that lasts 9 minutes, one should portray numerous emotions. It’s disappointing that only I was criticized for the scene.’
In the movie ‘Yaanimal,’ Rashmika played the role of Geethaanjali, and her performance received high praise from critics. Director Sandeep Vanga also complimented Rashmika’s portrayal of the character, urging her to showcase more variations in expressions. The Karwa Chauth scene was particularly challenging, requiring her to exhibit various emotions convincingly. However, after completing the rigorous scene, the onlookers applauded her efforts. Even after the movie’s release, the response in theaters was overwhelming, with audiences giving positive feedback.
