Nate Wiggins Baltimore Ravens Injury

The Baltimore Ravens have downgraded cornerback Nate Wiggins to out for their Week 8 game against the Cleveland Browns. Wiggins, a 2024 first-round pick, is dealing with a shoulder injury and an illness, which has ruled him out of the upcoming match.

Initially, Wiggins was expected to start in place of Marlon Humphrey, who will miss the game due to a knee injury he suffered during Monday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Humphrey had a notable performance in that game, intercepting Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield twice before getting injured.

In Wiggins’ absence, the Ravens are set to start Jalyn Armour-Davis and Brandon Stephens at cornerback. Armour-Davis has been recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for the past four games.

Wiggins’ practice participation had been limited in the lead-up to the game. He did not practice on Wednesday, fully participated on Thursday, and was limited on Friday, indicating his health issues were ongoing.

The Ravens, who have won five consecutive games, will face a Cleveland Browns team that is 1-6 and will start Jameis Winston at quarterback. The Browns are dealing with their own significant injury, as Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon tear last week.
