Rashod Bateman Ravens Contract Extension

Baltimore, MD — The Baltimore Ravens announced on Thursday that wide receiver Rashod Bateman has signed a contract extension. The new deal is reportedly worth $36.75 million over three years, with $20 million guaranteed.

Bateman’s new contract ties him to the team through the 2029 season. The extension follows his standout performance in the 2024 season, where he recorded 45 receptions for 756 yards and nine touchdowns, ranking tied for ninth in the NFL for touchdown receptions.

The Ravens originally selected Bateman as the 27th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Until last season, he had struggled with injuries, managing only 93 receptions for 1,167 yards and four touchdowns in his first three seasons. However, he emerged as a vital part of the team’s offense last year, demonstrating his potential as a top-tier wide receiver.

This extension is a significant leap for Bateman, who is now among the top 30 highest-paid receivers in the league, earning $12.25 million per year. The Ravens granted him a two-year extension worth just under $13 million last offseason, which looked like a bargain given his performance.

At just 25 years old, Bateman remains the Ravens’ No. 2 receiver behind Mark Andrews, and with the addition of DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, he will face more competition for targets. Still, Bateman’s ability to act as a reliable deep threat has made him a key player for quarterback Lamar Jackson.

As the team continues to balance its pass-heavy and run-first approach, Bateman’s role should evolve, keeping him relevant in fantasy leagues moving forward.
