Rbc Heritage Golf Tournament 2025

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Justin Thomas holds a two-stroke lead after two rounds at the 2025 RBC Heritage, entering the weekend in prime position for his first PGA Tour victory since 2022. The tournament, boasting a $20 million purse, is taking place at the iconic Harbour Town Golf Links, a favorite among players and fans alike.

After tying the course record with a stunning 61 in the first round, Thomas followed up with a solid 69 on Friday, bringing his total score to 12-under par. Thomas is now looking to secure his 16th PGA Tour title, but he faces stiff competition from Si Woo Kim and Russell Henley, who are both at 10-under par.

“It’s great to be in this position,” Thomas said after his round. “I just need to keep my game sharp and focus on what I can control.”

The RBC Heritage continues to attract the best players in golf, marking the first tournament after the Masters. The 72-player field included defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who is currently fifth at 8-under par. Scheffler, the world’s No. 1 player, is seeking to break a winless streak as he eyes another tartan jacket.

“I’m feeling good about my game,” Scheffler commented. “It’s a long tournament, and anything can happen on the weekend.”

Aside from Thomas and Scheffler, other competitors like Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele are also in contention, each needing solid rounds to catch the leaders. Schauffele, who is seeking his first win of the season, understands the pressure of competing in such a strong field.

“This is a fantastic course, and the competition is fierce,” Schauffele said. “Stepping up your game here is vital.”

The third round will commence on Saturday morning, with Tee Times starting at 7:50 a.m. ET. Coverage will air on Golf Channel from 1 to 3 p.m. ET, followed by CBS from 3 to 6 p.m. ET. For those wishing to stream the event, PGA Tour Live will provide early coverage starting at 6:45 a.m. ET.

The tournament offers significant FedEx Cup points, with the winner receiving 700 points along with a hefty cash prize of $3.6 million. The RBC Heritage has historically provided dramatic finishes, and this year looks to be no different with numerous players vying for victory.

All eyes will be on Harbour Town, as the remaining 36 holes are set to deliver top-notch golf entertainment this weekend.
