Real Madrid In Advanced Talks With Kylian Mbappé Over Summer Free Transfer

Spanish football giant Real Madrid is currently engaged in advanced negotiations with French star Kylian Mbappé regarding a potential free transfer deal set to take place this summer, sources close to the situation have disclosed.

The talks between Mbappé and Real Madrid signal a significant step towards the realization of the player’s longstanding dream to play for the LaLiga powerhouse, with both parties reportedly feeling optimistic about reaching a resolution in the near future.

Reports emerged last week indicating that Mbappé had formally communicated his intention to depart Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as a free agent when his contract expires at the conclusion of the current season.

Real Madrid, currently leading the LaLiga standings, had previously made a formal contract proposal to the French international last month, while PSG continued to harbor hopes of retaining their prized asset.

Mbappé, a World Cup winner, has been a pivotal figure for PSG this season, notching an impressive 32 goals across all competitions despite the continuous speculation surrounding his future.

The 25-year-old forward started on the bench in PSG’s recent league victory over Stade Reims before stepping onto the pitch to convert a 78th-minute penalty, adding to his goal-scoring tally.

Furthermore, Mbappé found the back of the net in PSG’s Champions League round-of-16 first leg triumph against Real Madrid last week, showcasing his prowess on the European stage.

Within the current campaign, he stands as PSG’s top scorer with a total of 32 goals, highlighting his importance to the team’s success in both domestic and continental competitions.

Real Madrid’s frontline in LaLiga has been led by midfielder Karim Benzema, who has tallied 16 goals, with support from Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde contributing to the team’s attacking threat.
