Real Madrid Transfer News 2025

Madrid, Spain – Real Madrid‘s leadership is actively pursuing significant reinforcements for the upcoming season. Club president Florentino Perez is determined to enhance the squad by focusing on key positions, including defense, midfield, and attack.

Recent reports indicate that the club is keen on signing João Neves, a standout player for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The young Portuguese midfielder has attracted the attention of Madrid’s coaching staff, who view him as a valuable addition to strengthen their midfield.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid has joined the race for Neves, competing with Manchester City for his signature. Sources close to the club revealed that PSG is aware of the interest and is attempting to retain the player, with no current negotiations taking place. PSG’s management is not inclined to part ways with Neves, further complicating potential dealings.

In addition to Neves, Real Madrid is scouting other midfield prospects, including Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea. British media reports that Fernandez is a top target as the club aims to bolster its midfield ahead of the next season.

Meanwhile, reports from Sky Sports suggest that Manchester City is also considering Eduardo Camavinga for a summer move. The young Frenchman is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2029, but his playing time under coach Carlo Ancelotti has been limited. However, City manager Pep Guardiola views Camavinga as a crucial asset for future squad rejuvenation.

City’s beginning of the 2024/25 season was marred by significant injuries, impacting team consistency. In response, the club has invested over £170 million in new signings to secure their place in the Champions League. Despite these efforts, Guardiola remains concerned about the midfield and considers Camavinga a vital signing for the upcoming transfer window.

However, City faces stiff competition from other elite clubs in the pursuit of Camavinga, who has already made over 170 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from Rennes in 2021. Although bound by contract through 2029, he has not assured his future with the club while awaiting Luka Modrić’s decision regarding his playing career.

Shifting the focus to Ederson, Manchester City is preparing to bid farewell to the Brazilian goalkeeper. The club is reportedly looking to sell him by the end of the European season, prompting them to search for a potential replacement. Graeme Bailey reports that Ukrainian prospect Anatoliy Trubin is among the short-listed candidates due to his exceptional performances in Liga Portugal this season.

Trubin, currently with Shakhtar Donetsk, has impressed City scouts and has earned approval from Guardiola. Although there are no immediate plans to negotiate his transfer, City is evaluating various options before finalizing their choice for Ederson’s successor. Another potential candidate is Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa, currently with Porto, who has been on City’s radar for some time.
