Real Madrid Deportivo Liga F Match

Madrid, Spain — Real Madrid will face Deportivo La Coruña in a Liga F match on March 14 at 12:00 p.m. CET, ahead of their crucial Champions League quarterfinal against Arsenal.

The match will be held at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium, and while the game holds little significance in terms of league standings, it represents an opportunity for Real Madrid to build momentum before their European clash.

Real Madrid has been exceedingly busy in their March schedule, shifting their focus from the Copa de la Reina to the Champions League. Coach Alberto Toril is expected to field an altered lineup to rest key players ahead of the encounter with Arsenal.

A notable concern is the fitness of Colombian forward Linda Caicedo, who has been dealing with muscle overload since the international break. Caicedo has resumed training with the group and could return to the squad.

Eve Navarro addressed the media about the team’s current state, stating, “I believe the team is well. We are convinced that we need to keep adding points. We want to maintain this trajectory in the league, securing a victory for our fans to stay at the top of the table.”

On the other hand, Deportivo La Coruña finds itself in a precarious situation, sitting four points above the relegation zone. Recent draws against rivals like Espanyol and Eibar have intensified their struggle for survival in the league. They have secured just one point from the last nine available, but they have only lost once in their last seven games.

Deportivo’s attacking threat comes from Millene and the talented Ainhoa Marín. A player to watch is Olaya Rodríguez, currently on loan from Real Madrid. She has made a strong impact during her first full season in Liga F, contributing three goals and one assist in 19 appearances, establishing herself as a key player in Fran Alonso‘s midfield.

This forthcoming match will mark the fourth official meeting between Real Madrid and Deportivo, with the previous three ending in victories for the Madrid side. In the first leg earlier this season at Riazor, Real Madrid overcame Deportivo 4-1, with notable contributions from Olga Carmona, Alba Redondo, María Méndez, and Bruun.
