Record-Breaking Turnout at 2024 Carmel Marathon Inspires First-Time Runners

Runners in Hamilton County witnessed a record-breaking turnout at the 2024 Carmel Marathon, with over 6000 participants from around the globe taking part in the event.

The Carmel Marathon, now in its 14th year, offered a range of races including the full marathon, half marathon, relay marathon, 10k, and 5k, with the half marathon attracting the highest participation.

Two first-time half marathoners, Holly and Alia, shared insights from their race day experience, encouraging others to start small and progress gradually in their running journey.

Participants from nearly all 50 states and 7 countries came together for the event, which marked a significant increase of 1000 runners from the previous year.

As the 2024 Carmel Marathon drew to a close, the camaraderie and determination displayed by runners like Holly and Alia served as a source of inspiration for future participants, setting the stage for the event’s return next year for its 15th iteration.
