Record Participation at 2024 TTP Cambridge Half Marathon
Record numbers of runners, totaling 13,000, crossed the finish line at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon, organized by OSB Events. The scenic route took participants through iconic Cambridge landmarks like St John’s College, Trinity College, and King’s College.
The top spot in the men’s competition was claimed by Freddie Hessian from Notts Athletic Club, closely followed by Seyfu Jamaal of London Heathside. Local talent Peter Molloy from Cambridge University Hare and Hounds secured third place.
Lucy Reid led the women’s category, with Phoebe Barker and Holly Archer following closely behind. The event’s charity partners include Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cancer Research UK, and local organizations like Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre.
Participants raised substantial funds for charity, with Break, the organization behind the upcoming Cambridge Stand Tall giraffe sculpture trail, having a strong presence. Notably, runners from businesses like Xaar, Breakwater, and Alan Boswell contributed over £5,000 before the race even began.
The 2024 Cambridge Half Marathon marked the 12th edition since its inception in 2012, with this year’s race selling out in record time. Pre-registration for the 2025 edition is already open, demonstrating the event’s enduring popularity.
