Renowned Model and Actress Masuimi Max Found Dead at 45
Renowned model and actress Masuimi Max, best known for her appearances in major publications like Playboy and Maxim, was found dead in her Las Vegas home on Thursday. The 45-year-old’s death was discovered after a call prompted emergency responders to arrive at her residence before 11:30 am ET.
An investigation is ongoing, but authorities do not suspect foul play at this time. The actual cause of death will be determined following the investigation. Max was scheduled to appear at a Vegas Chaos anniversary event at The Dive Bar on January 27.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Masuimi Max had a successful career that spanned 24 years. She gained recognition for her work in magazines such as Alt Magazine and Bizarre Magazine, and she became a familiar face at events held at the Playboy Mansion throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s.
Max’s versatility extended beyond modeling as she also pursued acting and entrepreneurship. She owned a cosmetics brand called I Am Sin and collaborated with renowned brands like Harley-Davidson and Pinup Girl Clothing. Her achievements and talent served as inspiration for aspiring models, often comparing her to iconic figure Dita Von Teese.
In addition to her magazine features and brand collaborations, Masuimi Max also appeared in various movies and TV shows. Although mostly known for B-movies, she had an uncredited role in the film “xXx: State of the Union,” alongside actors Samuel L. Jackson and Ice Cube, where she portrayed the girlfriend of Xzibit’s character.
Max’s upbringing involved her father’s retirement from the Air Force, which led the family to settle in Las Vegas during her teenage years. Her passing marks the end of an influential era in the alternative/fetish modeling industry, where she was considered a pioneer. However, her legacy and impact will continue to resonate within the modeling community.
