Rhea Ripley’s Latest Injury and Potential Return for WWE’s European Tour
Rhea Ripley, one of WWE‘s most popular female superstars, has once again been sidelined due to an injury. Her latest setback involves a fractured orbital bone, which occurred during a segment on the October 21 edition of Monday Night Raw. The injury was attributed to a headbutt she delivered to Liv Morgan, although it is reported that the actual injury happened a week prior to the televised incident.
This is not the first significant injury Ripley has faced in 2024. Earlier in the year, around February, she suffered a wrist injury due to the rigors of regular wrestling, which required her to wear a brace to protect it. Additionally, in April, she injured her shoulder during a brawl with Liv Morgan, leading to her relinquishing the Women’s Championship. Despite these setbacks, Ripley has shown resilience, recovering quickly from her shoulder injury and returning to action in July.
Despite her current absence, WWE has advertised Rhea Ripley for their upcoming European tour in March 2025, ahead of WrestleMania 41. This tour will feature several high-profile WWE superstars, including Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, and others. The inclusion of Ripley in the tour lineup suggests that WWE expects her to be back in action by then, although the company has noted that the talent list is subject to change.
Ripley’s injury has also highlighted a broader issue within the WWE women’s division on Monday Night Raw, where there is a lack of clear contenders for the championship. With Liv Morgan currently holding the Women’s World Championship and the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship, there is a noticeable absence of strong challengers, which has raised concerns about the booking and development of female talent in WWE.
