Reed Sheppard, the third overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, dazzled in his Summer League debut for the Houston Rockets. Sheppard displayed his versatile skill set, recording 23 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and a steal in a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. His highlight-reel play, where he crossed over Knecht before sinking a smooth and-1 floater, stole the show.

Jordan Miller, a G League standout with the LA Clippers, demonstrated his scoring prowess in a win against the Denver Nuggets. The second-year player showcased his shooting skills with an impressive 36-point performance, going 11-for-18 from the field and 6-for-10 from beyond the arc, highlighting his development since being drafted No. 48 overall in 2023.

Alex Sarr, the second overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft for the Washington Wizards, exhibited elite defensive capabilities in his Summer League debut. Sarr’s well-rounded performance included 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks, and a steal. His defensive presence was felt with a remarkable sequence of three blocks in just 23 seconds, showcasing his impact on that end of the floor.

Terrence Shannon Jr., selected as the No. 27 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, made his presence known in the Summer League opener. Shannon’s explosive athleticism was on display, highlighted by a thunderous dunk for his first professional basket.
