Robbie Williams Denies Bid To Buy Port Vale Football Club

Singer Robbie Williams has denied rumors of making a bid to buy Port Vale Football Club, his beloved team. The club quickly clarified their position and released a statement stating that Williams had not made any attempt to purchase the club, and no discussions regarding the matter had taken place.

Williams, who attended a recent match alongside club co-owner Carol Shanahan, has not shown intention to acquire ownership of the Club. Instead, he has been actively involved in positive club projects, joining forces with Shanahan to explore initiatives aimed at benefitting Port Vale Football Club.

The singer and his team were present at the match, during which Williams was named club president and officially opened the suite named after him. The 49-year-old Take That star has achieved global fame, with more than 75 million records sold.

The Port Vale spokesperson confirmed that the current owners, the Shanahan family, are fully committed to the club and its future. Additionally, the club expressed gratitude for Williams’ ongoing support and dedication to the team.

Port Vale Football Club, which is located in Stoke-on-Trent, has a strong connection to its local community, as demonstrated by previous collaborations with Williams. In 2022, the Stoke-on-Trent-born star organized a charity event to raise funds for the club.
