Rohit Sharma Creates History With All Format Catching Record

India‘s cricket captain Rohit Sharma has etched his name in the record books by becoming the first outfield player globally to achieve the milestone of securing 60 or more catches in each of the three main cricket formats – Tests, ODIs, and T20s.

Rohit’s exceptional feat unfolded during the gripping first day of the fifth and final Test match between India and England at the scenic HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

The record-breaking achievement now sees Rohit Sharma boasting 60 catches in Tests, 93 catches in ODIs, and 60 catches in T20 internationals, solidifying his reputation as a brilliant fielder across all formats.

On the match day itself, amidst Rohit’s incredible milestone, India’s bowlers put on a dazzling performance to dismiss England for 218 runs in their first innings.

Notably, spinner Kuldeep Yadav stole the show with a magnificent five-wicket haul, showcasing his prowess with the ball as he scalped five crucial wickets, complemented by veteran Ravichandran Ashwin who also shone with four wickets on his momentous 100th Test match.

England’s innings saw impressive knocks from Zak Crawley, who scored 79 runs, and Jonny Bairstow, who surpassed the 6000-run mark in Tests during his 100th Test match.
