Roland Garros Tennis Qualifiers May 2025

PARIS, France — The qualifying rounds for the 2025 Roland-Garros tournament kicked off on May 19, featuring 128 male and female players vying for a spot in the main draw. The first round will conclude on May 23, ahead of the main tournament starting on May 25.

As players seek to secure one of the 16 coveted spots in each draw, they must win three matches in the best-of-three sets format. This is different from the main tournament, which utilizes a best-of-five sets format. Among the French competitors participating, 36 will be in action, including a noteworthy match between Adrian Mannarino and another French player on May 21.

The matches will be broadcasted on France Télévisions, with daily coverage on France 4 for the qualifying rounds, except for May 21. Viewers can tune in at 1:30 PM to catch the action on the Suzanne-Lenglen court. The premium streaming service, Prime Video, will cover the evening sessions of the main tournament.

The tournament will feature various events, including singles, doubles, and wheelchair tennis, with finals set for June 7 for women’s and June 8 for men’s competitions. The excitement builds as tennis enthusiasts look forward to the thrilling matches ahead.

The final draw will be unveiled on May 22, ahead of the charity day featuring Yannick Noah on May 24. This year’s tournament promises to deliver intense competition as both established players and newcomers aim for glory at one of tennis’s Grand Slam events.
