Roxanne Perez Nxt Championship Match February 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Roxanne Perez is poised to make history tonight at the CareFirst Arena, where she will compete for the NXT Women’s Championship in a Fatal 4-Way match against Cora Jade, the reigning champion Giulia, and her idol Bayley. With a chance to become the first three-time champion, Perez recognizes the gravity of the moment as she steps into the spotlight.

A victory would place her in elite company, alongside only Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler, who have previously held the title more than once in the championship’s 12-year history. “If there was ever going to be a talent that finally ascended to heights never even reached by the very best that NXT has produced, it would be The Prodigy,” Perez said confidently.

Perez, who earned several accolades during her time in NXT, including being its youngest title holder and the first Women’s Iron Survivor, has taken the wrestling world by storm even before officially joining the main roster. In the recent Women’s Royal Rumble, she made headlines by recording the longest time spent in the match, clocking in at over an hour. “We talk about how NXT is the future, but I think we have the best women’s division in the world,” Perez stated after her performance, showcasing pride in her division.

The opportunity for NXT standouts was clear as Perez acknowledged the talents present in the division, highlighting names like Jade, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer. “They live up to the hype, for sure,” she noted, reflecting on the strength of her contemporaries.

Perez’s road has not been without challenges. Entering the Ring at No. 3, she faced formidable opponents and advanced to a second-place finish, proving her resilience and ability to navigate chaos. “When I first signed my contract, I wasn’t sure if management would see it in me right away, and Shawn Michaels did. The answer was clearly yes,” she remarked optimistically.

With the imminent integration into the main roster evident when she began a program with Bayley, Perez is gearing up for what could be a transformative year. “Bayley is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. It’s really cool that I’m getting to work with her now, but I gotta prove to her that The Prodigy is a little better,” she expressed, underscoring her competitive spirit.

Looking ahead, Perez is focused on her immediate goal tonight as well as the wider horizon. “It’s definitely a mix of emotions. It makes me a little sad that it may be over, but, of course, I’ll be back,” she said about potentially leaving NXT.

With a decade of wrestling experience at just 23 years old, Perez is a rare talent ready to make a significant impact in WWE. Her ambitions do not stop with the championship match; she also has her sights set on future events like the Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania.

“I am going to take back my NXT Women’s Championship, and then I’m gonna walk into Raw with my title, and I’m gonna beat Raquel [Rodriguez],” Perez promised, demonstrating her determination. “I’m the most focused that I’ve ever been in my career.”
