Roxanne Perez And Cora Jade Wrestling Match

ORLANDO, Fla. — Roxanne Perez, the two-time NXT Women’s Champion, broke her silence Sunday after her former rival Cora Jade made a surprise appearance at TNA Wrestling Genesis 2025 to challenge Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Perez and Jade, once best friends and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions in July 2022, have a storied history. Their friendship turned into a heated rivalry after Jade betrayed Perez, but the two reconciled in October 2024. Jade’s recent challenge to Slamovich marked her return to the spotlight after a year of inactivity and injury.

“PUT SOME RESPECT ON MY BESTIE’s NAME. NEW CHAMP COMIN’ SOON!!!!!” Perez wrote on her Instagram Story, showing support for Jade’s bold move.

The development comes amid WWE‘s official partnership with TNA Wrestling, which took effect Sunday. Several NXT stars, including Jade, appeared at TNA Genesis. Slamovich, who successfully defended her title against Rosemary in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match, was also present at the January 14 episode of NXT, sitting ringside.

Meanwhile, Perez has been teasing a potential feud with Bayley. Last week, Perez had a segment with Bayley on NXT, and she returned the favor by appearing on SmackDown as a special guest. Speaking to Byron Saxton in a SmackDown Digital Exclusive, Perez challenged Bayley to appear on NXT this week.

“I always thought that I was the big fan, but it seems like she’s actually mine since she wants to show up at my show and stick her nose in my business. So yeah, Bayley. Come on down. Come back and maybe this time around, I can give you some notes on how to be a champion since I don’t think you got it anymore,” Perez said.

NXT Vengeance Day, scheduled for February 15 at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., could be the stage for the next chapter in Perez and Bayley’s rivalry.
