The auction, which took place in Jeddah, saw intense bidding for Salt, with RCB eventually outbidding other teams, including the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), to secure the English player. Alongside Phil Salt, RCB also made other notable purchases, including English all-rounder Liam Livingstone and Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood.
