Kansas City Royals Spring Training Game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals will look to maintain their perfect record in spring training this afternoon as they face the Chicago White Sox. The Royals enter the game with two wins, making them one of only four teams in Major League Baseball to remain unbeaten thus far.

The matchup, set to begin at 2:05 PM CT at Surprise Stadium, will see Kris Bubic take the mound as he competes for a spot in the starting rotation. Bubic’s performance will be closely watched by fans and coaches alike, as the team is keen to solidify its pitching lineup ahead of the regular season.

“This is an important opportunity for me,” Bubic said. “I want to show that I can be reliable as the fifth starter. I’m ready to step up and help the team.”

On the opposing side, the White Sox have opted to start two former Royals, Michael A. Taylor and Andrew Benintendi, at the top of their lineup. Their presence adds a unique dynamic to the game, as both players look to showcase their skills against their former team.

The Royals will aim to keep the momentum going in their pursuit of a Cactus League title, albeit early in the spring season. “It’s still early, but every win counts in building confidence and chemistry,” said Royals manager, Matt Quatraro.
