Rublev, Alcaraz Advance at Monte-Carlo Masters Amidst Thrilling Matches

MONTE-CARLO, Monaco — Andrey Rublev and Carlos Alcaraz made significant strides at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, with both players securing spots in the third round. Rublev defeated France’s Gael Monfils 6-4, 7-6(2) and Alcaraz overcame Francisco Cerundolo with a score of 3-6, 6-0, 6-1.

Rublev, the seventh seed, has faced challenges this season, including a coaching change and early exits in previous tournaments.
