Ryan Christian Dunn, the young American professional basketball player, has been making significant waves in the NBA since his recent draft. Born on January 7, 2003, Dunn was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft but was immediately traded to the Phoenix Suns on draft night.

Dunn’s journey to the NBA began in his high school days, where he attended Oak Hill Academy and later Long Island Lutheran High School. He then enrolled in the Perkiomen School for a postgraduate year before committing to play college basketball for the University of Virginia. At Virginia, Dunn emerged as a key defensive player, averaging 8.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game in his sophomore year.

Since joining the Phoenix Suns, Dunn has quickly become a standout rookie. He recently earned his first NBA start, scoring 13 points on 5-8 field goals, which has garnered significant attention and praise from fans and analysts alike.

Dunn’s defensive prowess has been particularly notable, with a recent highlight showing his suffocating defense on LeBron James. This performance has highlighted his potential to be a crucial asset for the Suns in the coming seasons.

Off the court, Dunn is the younger brother of Major League Baseball pitcher Justin Dunn, adding to the athletic legacy of his family.
